80 YEARS OLD AND TRUE TO THEIR MISSION

cch_logo  In 2016 Central Community House is celebrating its 80th year serving their community in Columbus, OH.  Even though things have changed during those years, they have remained true to their Mission, which is to empower people to reach their full potential, to be self-supporting and to live cooperatively with all others.  Puffin believes in investing in our neighbors.  When communities gather together, pool their resources and share their experiences GREAT THINGS HAPPEN.  PFW has provided a grant for food security for   Central Community House’s Transit Arts youth program which will now be gathering at their new home at the Walter and Marian English Center for Art and Community.  In additional Puffin West continues its annual support for the CHILDREN’S PEACE PARADE, which gives the kids in the near east side an opportunity to march over a mile to the Hot Times Festival in September and in doing so building pride in where they live.  The children are encouraged to create posters about peace and their hopes for a bright future.  At the end of the parade they participants will  be provided with a meal. http://www.cchouse.org
