Central Community House’s Community Events

Free Jazz Concert – Thursday, Sept. 7, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

In conjunction with the 2017 Hot Times Kate Schulte Tribute, jazz giants James Carter, Kidd Jordan, and D.D. Jackson will join Columbus-based artists including The Jazz Poetry Ensemble, Debra James Tucker, and Transit Arts for a free outdoor concert on the grounds of the English Center for Art & Community at 1251 Bryden Rd. The team from Blick Art Sawmill will be on site to work with children to create masks/props and a banner for the September 9 Children’s Parade. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and join in the fun!

Summer Block Party – Friday, Sept. 15, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Join us for food, music and community on the grounds of First English Lutheran Church, 1015 E. Main St.

Fun-for-All Saturdays – Saturday, Sept. 23, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. 

Free activities at Central, 1150 E. Main St. Respite care/play dates for young children. Programs for teens/adults include Yoga (10:15), Parenting Group, arts/crafts and more. Call for program times and details.

Community Dinner – Wednesday, Sept. 27, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Free, hot meal among neighbors. All are welcome at our main facility, 1150 E. Main St.
