MOMENTUM’S excellence at the speed of dance programs were of course disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic which closed Columbus Public Schools in mid-March. Momentum teaching artists regrouped and prepared weekly virtual classes that were distributed to schools via their on-line platforms. Teachers and building principals were appreciative of the opportunity to have their students complete the school year with Momentum. Momentum remained a constant presence for these kids. A silver lining to the on-line approach was that it enabled a thousand more students to participate. Momentum has the power to transform lives! Momentum teaching artists and their accompanists continue to produce on-line content that is shared on their social media platforms. Momentum offerings focus on movement and mindfulness. This is their 17th year and over 10,000 students have had MOMENTUM in their lives. Puffin West is proud to have been with them for many years.
