PFW has been supportive of ProMusica’s program Play Us Forward, (PUF) since introduced. PUF not only provides instruments and quality instruction FREE to middle school students whose core curriculum was devoid of music classes it also inspires and empowers.
The program prepares them for a life-long journey in music and the arts and is helping to develop and support the next generation of artists and musicians. The objectives of this program is to offer music education at no cost to a broad diversity of students; nurture and develop creative talents of interested students; and empower and prepare students for opportunities in the music, the arts and life in tandem with their academic work. Once a year, students join ProMusica musicians for a Season Finale Concert at the Southern Theatre on stage where they perform before an audience of 1000 theatre-goers. That become a real life memory that they can always draw strength from.
