THE FATE OF HUMANITY IS INSEPARABLE FROM OUR WILLINGNESS TO PRESERVE BIODIVERSITY

IN 2019 PUFFIN FOUNDATION WEST IS DEDICATING ITS HEART TO SUDAN, THAT LAST WHITE RHINO THAT DIED THIS YEAR.

Africa species such as elephants, rhinos, pangolins, and lions are being illegally killed at an alarming rate for their body parts.

Elephant populations across the continent have declined by 30% over 7 years, mostly due to poaching. 144,000 elephants could have been saved with better protection.

In South Africa alone, 1,028 rhinos were killed by poachers in 2017. These majestic and increasingly rare creatures are killed for their horns, tusks, and other parts. Some cultures

use them as “medicine” or jewelry. But it’s all for profit — and driving iconic species towards extinction whilst disrupting vulnerable communities.

Much of this poaching and trafficking is done by the same organized crime networks moving drugs and weapons. They utilize military tactics and equipment to conduct

their trade. In the cross-fire, many undertrained and poorly equipped rangers are killed or injured. Over 1,000 rangers have been killed in the line of duty over

the past decade. IAPF is actively changing

AS YOU KNOW WE ONLY WORK IN AMERICA WITH OTHER NFP AND CITIZENS OR RESIDENTS THAT HAVE A SS#,  BUT WE THOUGHT THAT AS SO MANY SPECIES ARE EXPERIENCING MASS EXTINCTION THAT WE WANTED TO BRING THIS INTERNATIONAL ANTI-POACHING GROUP TO YOUR ATTENTION.
