Puffin Foundation West has given a Grant to an innovative course designed specifically for High School Students who we have to recognize are our first fully networked generation who actively participate on various social networks reshaping, remixing and re-framing their cultural lives. This program is a unique offering of the Wexner Center for the Arts as it engages a demographically diverse range of inner-city and suburban Columbus students (who may not have the chance to interact otherwise) in a year-long program to help promote skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking and problem solving through creative writing assignments given to them following three different contemporary arts experiences. Students who partake in the 2011 PAGES program have encounters with a live Performing Arts experience, by an artist performing at the Wexner Center, a Visual Arts experience of an exhibition at the center and a Media Arts experience with a filmmaker or educator involved with the films or video part presented at the Wex.
