Many artists have struggled to get their work in front of audiences due to the ongoing pandemic. During our virtual conference call with our dance film artists, we had a few artists thank The Movement Project for providing a virtual way for them to get their work in front of audiences and to the masses. They expressed that they felt supported in marketing and producing their work and their gratitude for receiving compensation for their contributions to the virtual dance film gallery. Next year we plan to offer this as a free gallery included with all tickets sold for in-person performances.

7. How did it go? Did you accomplish your goals for this project? What went well? Were there any unexpected challenges, and if so, how were they addressed?
CDF 2023 – Virtual Dance Film Gallery has launched and is running smoothly. Overall we feel we have accomplished our goals with the virtual gallery. We would have liked to present more films, however submissions were low this year. The biggest challenge this brings is audience reach. To adjust for this, we have put together an extensive virtual marketing campaign to highlight our dance film artists interviews about their works on our social media pages, as well as additional marketing across our platforms.
8. Share a brief story of how this project made an impact on your target audience.
