A PUFFIN FOUNDATION WEST GRANT has been awarded to bring to multiple screens in different neighborhoods the 2012 COLUMBUS JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL. This is their 8th annual event that brings international and independent films and also has a DOC Sunday (full day of documentaries) to the City of Columbus over a two-week period. These films all speak about a Jewish legacy that values art and embraces universal themes, ponders moral questions and raises ethical concerns. This is a one-of-a-kind cultural event and is designed for community members of any religion, ethnicity or gender. The films are buttressed by programming, discussions and some guest speakers. The Festival Committee hopes that this cultural event will initiate conversations about the world we live in and believes this platform will create an environment that fosters interaction, acceptance and cultural awareness for all. The Festival takes place in November 2012.
