Dear PUFFLINGS and Friends,
Puffin Foundation West, LTD. is and has always been a Private Foundation that was given its 501 (c) (3) in 2010. It is egalitarian. It is no allowed to be political (Johnson Act) and we have always followed the rules (and the IRS’ books ARE full of them). We believe that the work that Puffin West has done for communities all across the U.S.A. and now specifically in OH and NC and those states contiguous to them had value. You all may know that we do not raise money. A number of years ago, a Facebook account was set up and that was a way of reaching more people and telling them about the good works we were doing by working to …..peaceably transform our society through the language of art. It mimicked exactly the posts on our website – puffinwest.org. No one else was allowed to post. For some reason, in 2020 Facebook decided to not allow puffinoh@gmail.com post ( they said “too many redirects”). In 2021 we set up a new account with a new email (puffinwest@gmail.com). Facebook, it appears has changed and all of a sudden other people’s and “friends” comments about what was going on in their hearts and minds began populating Puffin West’s site. THEREFORE I have closed it DOWN as we are not a sounding board. The site was set up to share the good works of good people and NFPs that received a grant award from PFW or had follow-up news about their project. Our grant work this year and all past grant awards and Puffin West News will continued to be available ONLY on our website (puffinwest.org).
