For the third year, PFW is helping to sponsor the free SPRINGTIME CELEBRATION OF LIFE AMERICANA dinner that recognizes seniors who now and in their lifetime have given service to the community, Many of these volunteers have given their time and love not expecting or receiving the recognition and accolades they deserve and many of the invited attendees will be honored (unbeknownst to them) with official honors from State Representatives, the Mayor and even by the Governor of the State of Ohio. Many local restaurants donate all manner of food to feed the 100 invited guests who will also be entertained by the Watterson H.S. Chorus and a jazz combo which plays music from the 1940’s. This year Ms. Sally Blue will receive special recognition for her unwavering work on issues related to AIDS, MENTAL HEALTH, SENIOR ISSUES, CANCER and EDUCATION. One of the highest honors bestowed for volunteerism is done so by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Ms.Blue will become a member of the HONORABLE ORDER OF KENTUCKY COLONELS recognizing her devotion to family and her fellow man.
