The Museum of Capitalism is coming to New York City and embedding itself at the New School’s Center for Capitalism Studies later this year. which is an itinerant institution described by curators FICTILIS (Andrea Steves and Timothy Furstnau) www.fictilis.com as “dedicated to educating this generation and future generations about the history, philosophy, and legacy of capitalism, through exhibitions, research, publication, collecting and preserving material evidence, art, and artifacts of capitalism.” The Museum of Capitalism at the New School will advance contemporary art practice and scholarship that explore the intersection of political economy with diverse social concerns such as race gender militarism and ecology.
