THE INTERFAITH ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL OHIO (www.iaco.org)annual MAIN EVENT luncheon will be held in August. The subject this year, (speakers are still to be announced) is as how do we reach across the political divide to discuss any and all issues facing our country in today’s ever changing world? IACO’s goal has always been to have greater community presence, to create common discussion across all faith traditions. IACO grew out of an interfaith service, when representative from five religions, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic and Jewish, called their constituents to a prayer service in Columbus, in 1985. Their prays expressed a common longing that Peace, Freedom and Human Dignity might be advanced as on that day, November 19th, President Reagan was meeting with Mikhail Gorbachev.
