As planned, MACBETH was produced and performed in Nashville at Belmont University’s 300-seat Troutt Theater, prior to being performed for a week each in the 855-seat Tucker Theatre at MTSU, Academy Park Performing Arts Center in Williamson County, Tullahoma HS Theater in Coffee County, and the Montgomery Central HS Theater in Montgomery County.
The two new locations in Coffee and Montgomery Counties gave many rural schools and public an easy drive to get to see it. Shows ran January 9th -February 21st, 2020. Though there were a few show cancellations due to weather conditions, our tireless Education Director, Katie Bruno, was able to reschedule many of the school groups to other days. We were fortunate to complete our programming before COVID shut down most of the world.
Many of our schools are Title I schools, along with populations that normally wouldn’t attend Shakespeare performances. 5,637 total students attended MACBETH matinees in 2020 from 39 public schools, 19 private schools, and 23 homeschool groups. 25% of students came from Title I schools. 
With public and private support (including The Puffin West Foundation), the NSF has been able to offer each Title I high school a subsidized “package”. This package includes free tickets to the Winter Shakespeare production, two or more in-class workshops, and up to $70 in financial assistance for transportation. This year, we provided Title I schools with 1,156 free tickets and 19 free workshops.
