The Second Annual Columbus Documentary Week at the Gateway Theatre Center is scheduled for March of this year. It will bring Movies that otherwise would not be available in Columbus. Documentary filmmaking is flourishing in keeping pace with social media. No matter what your demographic is, no matter what part of the human race distinguishes you, we are now only separated by three degrees meaning that the closer one individual is to another individual, the more influence they have on one another. Documentaries are one of the drivers that make us all connected. The unique programming this film festival will being to CMH will give you a break from mainstream films. Films will be shown 3-5 times each during the week so that a broad audience can have the opportunity to see them and be part of the conversation – as documentaries by their nature create discussion and relationships. The Gateway is also striving to engage local businesses and groups that share affinities with the subject matter of the films to set up tables in the lobby so that you can get engaged should the films stir a passion within you.
