The Actors’ Theatre of Columbus’ outreach and enrichment program is tailed to site specific theatre and education. The bring theatre to residential care facilities, community groups, schools and incarceration centers. Their goal is to give people who have limited access to theatre and performance arts the experience of live theatre and to even participate in the performances. These artists-educators work with groups to devise theatre performances connecting classic theatre to their own unique life experiences. Their Mission is: to provide actors of all experience levels a safe place to grow and strengthen their performing skills. We also encourage participants to become involved in all aspects of acting, including assisting students with auditioning for shows, volunteering behind the scenes, and finding opportunities with other organizations in the Columbus theatre community.
