EVA ANDRY’S
“SAYING GRACE…A PICTURE OF AN AMERICAN FAMILY”
Art Speaks Even When People Don’t!
A Grant was given to Eva Andry for her paintings in a collection of oils entitled “Exploration Into the Alienation and Discommunication Observed in Modern Day Life Through Art.
Just think about this Painting for a moment or two in silence.
Eva Andry has long been an activst artist and we share some other powerful images as they speak so LOUDLY about our MISSION.
The following sculpture was done in solemn honor and recognition of the eleven lives that were lost in the BP disaster in the GULF,
Eva also did not neglect to thank BP for ther ecological destruction that was brought to her front door in New Orleans!
Puffin first met Ms. Eva Andry after she created a homage to the first 350 Ameican men and women killed in the Iraq war. If you recall there was a government imposed Media ban on images of the returning coffins or the funeral services of those that had lost their lives. In response Ms. Andry created portraits from Department of Defense pictures of the fallen. On the back of these 6″x4″ oil paintings was their DOD picture, their name, age, where they were from, and how and where they died. These pictures were attached to funeral bunting by velcro which allowed you to take them off the wall and hold and cradle them in your arms and hands. It still moves us to tears staring at these faces of the fallen.
