The University of Dayton Zimmerman Law Library presents its inaugural exhibit of a first edition Federalist Papers and 1816 John Whittaker Magna Carta in commemoration of the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta. Please join us on May 6 at 5:30 p.m. in Keller Hall, Heck Courtroom. “The Legal Significance of Magna Carta” will be presented by Dean Paul McGreal and Mark Kitrick. The exhibit will be open for viewing 6-7 p.m. with a reception in Keller Hall atrium. The closing address, “Remarks and Reflections on the Rule of Law: Celebrating the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta and Its Impact on America” will take place at 5:30 p.m. June 15 on the east lawn of Keller Hall. A reception will follow. Art and literary works celebrating this anniversary by area students will be displayed throughout the exhibit, with winners announced June 15.
