Now entering their 5th Milestone season, Ashville Creative Arts (ACA) produces, develops and presents innovative and professional new works of children’s theater, literary adaptations of family favorites, puppet based work, and musicals for audiences of all ages. Ashville Creative Arts http://ashvillecreativearts.org produce, present and create professional and innovative live theatre for children of all ages, from the very young to the young at heart, and embrace diverse cultures that push the boundaries of the genre; to ensure that all children and families in Western North Carolina and beyond have access to theatre arts based work through outreach such as touring, acting classes, and “inreach” such as specially discounted performances for camp and other community groups; and whenever possible, to employ environmentally sound practices in operation. They received a grant to stage on July 21-30 the children’s musical CLICK, CLACK, MOO in which the animals on Farmer Brown’s far have had enough! After all, animals work all day producing milk and eggs but when they requested electric blankets to keep them warm at night and are refused the cows and hens and ducks use their trusty typewriters to engage in peaceful protect to improve their working conditions. “With source material as clever as Doreen Cronin’s beloved book it’s really no surprise that this musical is so udderly (sorry, couldn’t resist) fabulous.”-Time Out New York
