The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus’ (CGMC) Closing Event on July 19th to be held on the Columbus Commons is FREE!! Come early and enjoy this family event that will include games and activities. CGMC is working hard to engage the community to make this event accessible to the underserved. They hope to have 1000 people on the great lawn that evening many coming from the Center for Healthy Families, Huckleberry House, Kaleidoscope Youth Center and other organizations. The show is entitled VOICES RAISED, LIVES CHANGED and it will betheir culminating 25th Silver Anniversary Performance.CGMC vision has always been to foster increased recognition, understanding, and acceptance of gay men, lesbian, bisexual, transgender person through community outreach with music as the vehicle. This chorus has always been open to all individuals regardless of race, gender, color, religion, national origin, disability, age, gender identity or sexual orientation and has more than 120 active singing members and more than 50 volunteers. See your there with many of our local civic, non-profit and corporate leaders. And yes the Food Trucks will be there and the Carousel will be running round and round.
