Dance Parade is a grassroots NFP whose mission is to celebrate diversity through dance in all its forms and to allow access to the arts to those who normally would not be exposed to dance. Dance Parade will be expanding from NY and partnering with Boston for their 1st Annual Parade and Festival to occur on Saturday, July 29th. In a world that is often adversely influenced by advertising and material consumption a citywide dance parade will enable creative expression and a celebration of the human experience. Beginning at Tremont Street in downtown Boston the parade will swing salsa and sashay along Boston Commons Part and end in Copley Square for a dance festival on a stage with free performances and dance lessons. Dozens of world cultures and an array of styles from ballet to breakdance will counter sedentary lifestyles that current day TV, video games and cell phones tend to reinforce.
