Ecology and the arts will be intertwined in the space’s creation and operation. Artists, horticulturalists, and practitioners in allied fields will be working collectively to build and maintain an edible landscape as a multi-acre art installation that supports community engagement. 
The edible landscape will produce an abundance of foods and natural resources for community use. The project will use pioneering techniques in the field of regenerative agriculture, which moves beyond sustainability to enhance soil and water health, improve biodiversity, and offset global climate change by storing atmospheric carbon. salttree.org
