Puffin West is continuing its relationship with the Columbus Metropolitan Club at the Diamond level. The Metro Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year under the excellent leadership of Jane Scott, President and CEO. Public Interest is part of PFW’s Mission an there are no finer forums and discussion had in Columbus than the programming that CMC consistently brings to their Members (over 1000) and guests. Well over ten thousand people attend these weekly forums that run the gamut of topics that are important to concerned citizens. PFW last year was the lead sponsor or helped to sponsor the following Forums:
*Our dear and departed friend Denny Griffith interviewed Columbus’ world famous artist Aminah Robinson, who too shortly passed away following this most intimate and casual discussion.
*Unleashing Creativity, which discussed that when creativity is thoughtfully applied it can solve huge problems, spawn enterprises, beautify landscapes and improve the human condition.
*Community Trust, which highlighted the Best Practices Policies of Police Chief Kim Jacobs
*Mayor Coleman used the Forum luncheon to introduce his final Five-Year GREEN Vision for Columbus, Ohio
*Toxic Charity with Mr. Robert Lupton who asked us if providing charity and not asking for skin in the game from beneficiaries of our largess was the way to solve our societal issue?
CMC’s Mission is to connect people and ideas through community conversation.
