Kings, Queens and In-Betweens “will introduce you to new heroes of our times and it all takes place here in Columbus, Ohio the Crown Jewel of Drag in the Midwest! Who knew? Everybody will after watching this fab documentary, filmed entirely in our “fantastic Gay Snow-Bubble in the middle of Ohio”. This Documentary challenges common assumptions about drag and gender and the “rules”. The film revolves around a local drag performance group, Royal Renegades. The film will not only bring to the screen snippets of their personal creative expressionisms as drag queens, kings and transgender performers but also will introduce the viewer to them as political activists. Nina West, (his stage name) for instance, has raised untold funds for charities and is a regular guest on local TV news when they need a GLBTQ spokes-model. This film will give everyone the opportunity to explore how Drag can make us question categorizations of male/female, gay/straight, and butch/femme.
