GROWING RIGHT
Our call to only Ohio Not for Profits found it way to The Ohio Ecological Food and Farms Association (OEFFA) and they sent in a first-time grant application. OEFFA is a socially concerned community organization devoted to creating a better neighborhood and a positive planet. 
Their project fits our Mission of using art to open doors, minds and eyes to enhance our culture and enrich the lives. They have been engaged in a dynamic multi-medial arts, oral history and public environment arts project dedicated to amplifying the voices of Ohio organic farmers and sharing the story of the rise of Ohio’s ecological food and farm movement as an intersectional grassroots movement. OEFFA has traveled into 32 counties interviewing farmers, grocers and activists and they are creating a documentary that includes oral histories, photographs, interviews that draws the connection between their interviewees’ own sense of place and the environment with the organic farm movement, the women’s movement, farm labor organizing, migrant worker rights, activism against strip mining, the co-op movement, toxicity a consumers rights’ movement and environmental health and justice around food safety. Look for their pop-up exhibit/installation of GROWING RIGHT perhaps at a farmers’ market near you. These 3-5 minute segments will soon be available in pod cast format.
