Dancing on the sides of buildings above bleak city street, Flyaway productions transforms the image of women and girls in the public domain. Their Mission supports the integration of experimental forms with social and political content; the support of women artist, where women’s voices remain an underserved element of public culture; and the use of spectacle/flight/suspended apparatus
to expand choreographic language. Flyaway Productions connects Art and Activism in San Francisco by making dances by and for women and girls, collaborating with community partners to present site-specific performances in divested neighborhoods.
