NON-TOXIC PRINT MAKING HAS AGAIN BEEN WELCOMED TO PARTNER WITH CEDAR RIVER WATERSHED EDUCATION CENTER IN NORTH BEND, WA – which is the primary source of clean, safe drinking water for the greater Seattle Area – to create a new series of collagraphs via sustainable printmaking techniques. These plates will be conceived in direct response to the Education Center’s mission to connect the public to the source of their drinking water and comprise accessible bold, graphic imagery that speaks to the stewardship, biodiversity, and sustainability of the Cedar River Watershed. Ms. Kim – with a portable printmaking press – will serve as an artist-in-residence at Cedar River and conduct hands-on workshops which will enable visitors the opportunity to create artworks through environmentally sound techniques. The visitors will be able to take away with them, collagraphs they have inked and printed themselves as keepsakes. as received support from King County
