- IACO will continue its successful 2021 programming of Reinfusing Young Adult Focus as to why Interfaith Relationships DO matter. The Board of IAOC is eager to celebrate and continue to work with young adults and partner organizations that will assist in making appropriate contact with this segment of the population. They will work with not only young adults already identified with the 9 faith traditions but will also reach out to young adults that may be spiritual but not necessarily religious that may be affiliated with other faith traditions. They will also add to this year’s programming an essay contest with High School students, as many High Schools have diverse populations including minorities and children of immigrants. In conjunction with faculty, administrators, and IACO Council members with an educational background, who will develop the criteria for judging the essays. It is hoped that the topics from the responses may include continued discussions about discrimination, the role that young adults play in addressing disparity, inclusion, and equity in environments that directly impact youth, and also mental health concerns that have changed owing to the endemic.
