Summer Jam and Puffin Foundation West would like to invite you to two very important events surrounding The Fantastic Food Garden mural.
First, artist Danielle Poling, will be giving the children a chance to become a permanent part of the mural by placing their painted hands on the petals of the flowers. We believe in giving ownership of the mural through participation to the children of the Hilltop community. This will take place on Thursday, July 7th from 10:30 am – 11:30 am in Westgate Park. (455 S. Westgate Ave, , on the west-facing wall of the racquetball court).
Second, the official Mural Dedication celebrating the completion of The Fantastic Food Garden, will be held on July 12th at 6:00 pm. in Westgate Park. (455 S. Westgate Ave, , on the west-facing wall of the racquetball court).
In 2016, Summer Jam commissioned Danielle Poling to paint an 80 foot mural of a Fantastic Food Garden to compliment our theme for 2016 and as a lasting reminder to eat healthy. Summer Jam wishes to leave permanent art in our wake and this is our second major piece of art on the Hilltop.
