Lynda McClanahan creates paintings in the vain of Persian miniatures. Each work of art, and she is prolific, is painstakingly created with exquisite details and they consistently speak boldly about the human condition. Ms. McClanahan’s is a self-taught artist and her works speak of nature, mythology and often highlight feminine avatars to bring her powerful messages home. A grant was given to her for her new body of work entitled “Behind the Curtain”. Ms. McClanahan believes that the world can change for the better only when people fall in love with the idea of really wanting it to. She produces art, which has become for her a spiritual practice, and a personal political action statement. She has to paint as she feels that what she is able to communicate is valuable to the world. See more at www.lyndaMcClanahanart.com
