Through their fiscal sponsor, The New York Foundation for the Arts, Garret David Kim and Andrew Watkins will produce a new adaptation of August Strindberg’s play Miss Julie. The play is a classic study in the collision of class and gender roles in society. Using symbolic staging and the use of a racially diverse cast to represent modern America, their production will present this classic drama as a parable to reflect the tension of class, race, culture and identity in our current historical moment. The play will be presented at Access Theatre, 380 Broadway, 4th Floor, NYNY in May 2017. www.accesstheater.com
