MUSIC BELONGS TO EVERYONE!

COLUMBUS CHILDREN’S CHOIR (CCC) is partnering with TRANSIT ARTS to bring arts education to after-school children here in Columbus through a program called Music in the House that targets  third graders who attend programs at Central Community House. Central Community House has a long-running collaboration with Transit Arts being a renowned teen arts program. CCC conductors will  hold  three sessions of weekly music classes that will each run  for eight-week  throughout the school year. Classes engage students through singing games, dance and world percussion. The 8-week sessions culminate with a performance for other Central Community House attendees, their families and members from their community. PFW has supported this program previously in 2013 and 2014 as it has achieved great success.  Music in the House will include apprentice opportunities for older youth to earn about teaching music.  Music in the House, allows Columbus Children’s Choir to reach singers in our  local community who do not have regular access to high quality music education. CCC believes that MUSIC BELONGS TO EVERYONE!
