2024 began a fabulous new partnership with Streb Lab for Action Mechanics/The Espana-Streb
Trapeze Academy. We will be rehearsing all future productions at their space in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn. We are also in conversation about several other potential projects.
We welcomed our new co-ringmaster, the incredible Deaf dancer Malik Paris. During public auditions,
Malik absolutely blew us away and has had the same effect on our audiences. With gratitude to the
generosity of the Zankel Music Fund, we were able to redo our opening song, record the tracks with
musicians who have disabilities and integrate additional live music on the tour. This is the first
installation of a 3 year plan to integrate more original and live music and to increase opportunities for
musicians with disabilities.
“The mixing of the acts with the music was astonishing.”

The first Stop on the 6 week spring tour was Virginia, where we enjoyed the third year of our
collaboration with Easter Seals MD/VA/DC. With the support of our sponsors, The Washington Group
Special Cares Planning Team, The Aid Association for the Blind, and Fairfax County we embarked on
a mission to serve joy and wonder. This year we welcomed 2 new sponsors: Disability IN DC Metro
and Presenting Sponsor AARP! Their generosity allowed us to increase our marketing and we were
able to welcome over 1200 patrons to our 2 pm performance, the highest yet. Easter Seals also had a
Successful “Bright Stars” benefit with our performance and well surpassed their fundraising goal.
We had the incredible honor to be the subject of a piece by WETA Arts (PBS) which will air on Sept
