POLLINATORS NEEDED

When people mention  bats and bees people usually are not praising them, but along with butterflies and birds  these living sentient creatures  represent possibly one of the most important groups in nature:  POLLINATORS.    People do not realize their ability to completely alter our ecosystem.  The work that they do is beautiful and they are hard at work every day.   PFW met (actually we did meet) the beautiful Olivia Bowser on a visit to Savannah GA  where Miss Bowser who received an  independent artist grant award  is getting her Bachelor’s In Fine Arts at the famed Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).   Her project is to create an in-depth blueprint for an interactive museum exhibit to bring awareness to a group of creatures that are often unrepresented yet vital to our environment.   Mainly her goal is to INSPIRE.  Conservation is more critical than ever; and to create lasting solutions to the problems we face today, we must inspire not only us but the generations that will live on past ourselves.  Pollinators lie at the very heart of our ecosystem,  and as a result of anthropogenic activities such as deforestation and habitat loss, pesticides and other agricultural practices these quiet and peaceful creatures  who have been around for 100 million years are in danger.
