Puffin West has joined with the Saul Schottenstein Foundation B and other local disability, arts, and cultural institutions to present award winning films in multiple sites across Ohio. The films, pre/post-discussions, and other engaging programs will bring the community together to explore, discuss and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience. VSA Ohio’s Mission is to “empower people with disabilities, creatively and inclusively, through the arts” and we applaud them as creative expression and innovation do move our society forward. The ReelAbilities- Columbus film festival will advance the dialogue between art, the lives of ordinary people, and the lives of extra/ordinary people with disabilities. This festival was initiated in New York City in 2007 and it is the largest film arts festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, the stories and artistic expression of ordinary people with disabilities.
