The Ohio Conference of the NAACP is hosting the Third Annual Champions of Diversity Awards Luncheon on September 25th. The Award was created in recognition of Mr. Amos H. Lynch, Sr. known fondly as the “The God Father of the Black Press” in Columbus, Ohio”, “Amos H. Lynch, Sr. devoted his life to informing and giving back to the community and he is a true Champion of Diversity” said Amos’ son, Orville Lynch, Founder of The Champions of Diversity Awards.
National NAACP President Benjamin Jealous will be the featured keynote speaker. The 2013 Pioneer recipient is Mayor Michael Coleman. The Ohio Conference of the NAACP chartered in 1930 is in its 82nd year has a rich history of empowering the disadvantaged in our community. The Champions of Diversity Awards Celebration gives the Ohio Conference NAACP the opportunity to highlight their programming as they deliver their message of confidence and courage encouraging all to stand strong and continue to forge partnerships to make Central Ohio a better place in which to live.
