WE ARE STARS

Work Hard. Do My Best. Never Give Up. Be Healthy. Momentum is a NFP that engages nearly 1000 students from 13 elementary schools in dance, music, performance that aids in their development of lifelong habits of self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence. This acclaimed teaching method originated 40 years ago by the world famous dancer Jacques d’Ambroise. Highly skilled teaching artists work weekly for 45 minutes each session with these students teaching life skills and increasing physical activity through dance and performance. Participation in Momentum is at no cost allowing all to have access to this 30- week program that is integrated within their school day.   This program was started in Columbus 15 years ago by Monica Kridler and culminates at a year-end event where every member of each classroom who has learned three dances over the year performs on the big stage at the Davidson Theatre May 9th and 11th. This year’s theme is WE ARE STARS Admission is free and on a first come first-served basis Momentum also makes numerous guest appearances partnering with other NFPs in their events. www.momentum-excellence.org
