Bundith Phunsombatlert Found Puffin West and Look What He Can Help You Find!!!

I  would like to update you about the work. NYC Parks and Flushing Meadows Corona Park extend the show of Wayfinding project throughout the winter, so the exhibition will be on view until March 31, 2015. After the project has opened to the public since May 2014, the online map has been viewed for more than 40,000 times.

Below are some of the links about the work:

The project will also be on the next issue of Public Art Review, which will be launched soon in the middle of December.

With the support from NYC Parks, I am now working on planning to extend the project to be in one of the parks in Manhattan as the final location of the project. The show will be on view from May 15 to November 15, 2015 (6 months). When the work in Queens, at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, ends in March 31, 2015, the project in Manhattan will continue to start in the summer.

From my view, it is very important to have the work installed in Manhattan since the majority of NYC public sculptures are there. The installation in Manhattan will be well connected to the audience: both local public and visiting art lovers. The project will also be an asset to NYC public sculptures as well as the City’s historical and artistic discourse and Parks’ Art in the Parks program.

Best,

Bundith
