Puffin West has continued it relationship with Jane D’Angelo the Executive Director of OhioDance and their work with Amethyst, a community of recovery in Central Ohio. Mimi Brodsy-Chenfield will be working with the resident Amethyst women and their children and will provide folk-dance sessions and the OSU performing arts medicine team will provide core and aerobic conditioning sessions for the women.

 

During OhioDance’s Conference April 24-17 Liz Lerman, a 2002 recipient of the MacArthur “Genius Grant”, will be the guest lecturer. Ms. Lerman has been dancing since 1974. She is a choreographer, performer, writer, and educator Ms. Lerman has long history of using dance as a connection to social justice .
