ARTFUL ACCESSIBLE EVENINGS

THE MASSILLON (OHIO) Museum HAS creating a 468 square foot accessible space with ancillary programming for all visitor with physical, developmental cognitive or learning disabilities.   It  IS NOW and  is outfitted specifically for individuals that are often marginalized owing to their special needs.  “For many with special needs, the arts are not merely enrichment, but a staple..The arts provide opportunities to develop language, cognition, fine and gross motor skills, social and life skills, self esteem and self expression and even the opportunity to provide potential career paths.” We are continuing our support of this project so that they may host sensory-friendly EVENTS, beginning with the Artful Evening Series that will make cultural experiences more accessible in their community
