Columbus’ Community Relations Commission’s  (CRC) Sixth Annual juried art exhibit for Franklin County Middle and High School students (grades 6-12) which features 26 pieces of art celebrating Reverend Dr. Martin Luther’s King’s legacy can be seen on Monday, 1/20/14 from 4:30 PM until 6 PM at Veterans Memorial, 300 W. Broad Street, 43215.  Many of the student   artists will be in attendance to discuss their works. The theme of this year’s competition is CELEBRATE THE LEGACY: THE POWER OF LOVE AND TOGETHERNESS.”   ALL are invited to attend.  In these times we are once more called upon to save the troubled soul of America by reapplying Dr. King’s mission and spirit to the issues of today.   We are very supportive of the CRC’s efforts to engage our City’s youth in this project. All 26 pieces will then be hung in the first floor hallways of Columbus’ City Hall and the public is invited to view the artwork in this magnificent space. It is here that the works will be judged and a best of show will be announced in February. There will be a reception for these young artists and they will have the opportunity to meet all the members of City Council.
