In the world of music, talented young composer Miho Hazama, pianist, composer and conductor will be performing as part of the Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival in NYNY on April 20th. Ms. Hazama uses her music to express her Japanese. Her 13 piece ensemble “M_Unit being a combination of contemporary artists specializing in both jazz and classical art forms will be this groups’ first performance in a concert hall, Symphony Space. Their followers have heard them play in the best jazz clubs in NY and her debut album was selected as one of Downbeat’s best. This concert provides a rare opportunity to showcase a creative, innovative Japanese female composer whose music brings together diverse elements. Ms. Hazama offers the public insight into the Japanese experience in America.
