A grant award was given to Soprano Daniela D’Ingiullo who will sing ELLA-MIAU in Miami. Miss D’Ingiullo has specialized in XXth Century and Contemporary Music, especially in the works of Mexican-American composer, Juan Trigos’ vocal music. The text of Ella-Miau speaks of a homeless woman who remembers her affection for her mother. This unrequited feeling led her to the sadness, the abandonment and finally to be homeless thinking to be a cat (She Meow). 
The libretto has been written in Spanish. The instrumentation is very peculiar being a saxophone, acoustic/electric guitar, a grand piano and Miss D’Ingiullo’s soprano. The work premiered in NYNY in September 2018.
