HAVE LIBRARY CARD WILL TRAVEL

To the Book to Film Festival at the Gateway Film Center for FREE. Book to Film addresses three specific needs: (1) the need for families to be able to take part in engaging and enriching activities; (2) the need for children to read at-level; and the need for children to develop a love of the arts. The program makes reading fun, builds on the shared cultural experience of classic films, and is accessible to all the Gateway’s neighbors regardless of income, race, gender and social philosophy.   In  the summer months without school, parents are often looking for things to do with their children. From Book to Film provides families enriching and safe activities to do together at no cost for JUST HAVING AND BRINGING YOUR LIBRARY CARD TO THE BOX OFFICE. The program leverages the power of the arts- namely film and literature- to bring people together from across Columbus, to discover each other’s worlds, while taking part in a shared cultural, educational and emotionally engaging experience.   The Gateway- WHERE MOVIES MEAN MORE partners with Columbus Metropolitan Library each year to make this festival a summer success. gatewayfilmcenter.org
