Puffin Foundation West is pleased to be a sponsor of a signature component of the revitalization and community beautification project of Livingston Avenue between Parsons Avenue and Nelson Road. Chorus members of The Harmony Project together with neighborhood children, teens and other citizens will work on a series of ten murals that will take you on a century-long journey through the Street Car District’s history and highlights.

The Harmony Project embraces the Mission of transforming the community through service and song. “It provides an opportunity for individuals of different backgrounds, religion, ages, political affiliation, and sexual orientations to work towards performing at an artistic level they had never imagined, and bond through the collective experience of community service (www.harmonyproject.com).” David Brown, Founder and Creative Director

This timely undertaking is bringing together civic, municipal, business and other not-for-profit organizations. The Harmony Project is also making a documentary reflective of all components of the project including the neighborhood clean-up, the planting of 100 trees, the creation of a new Park, the painting of storefronts, mulching, and the removing of graffiti. The finale of this up-lifting under-taking will be a 200-voice concert/celebration by the Harmony Project on May 15th and 16th at the Southern Theatre! The Harmony Project brings with it a binding spirit that diversity should never be an obstacle in working together toward a common goal.
