THE OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL’S (OEC) photo contest is a terrific way to encourage young and old amateur and professional photographers to contribute locally sourced photographs to help raise our awareness about the environment. Pollution, fossil fuel extraction (fracking) and, industrial as well as consumer   waste are all contributing to create an epidemic health crisis in this nation as well a contributing to massive habitat loss. When we hear the word environment we should think about the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. These photographs will help remind people of the importance of   healthy air, land and water for all who call Ohio home.   The OEC’s goal is to collect at least 300 new Ohio-based photos for ongoing use by the OEC. Puffin West supports this project as if we collectively care for our environment we will be able to stop the VIOLENCE and irreverence against Mother Nature that banksters and greedsters enact on our surroundings and the life force that sustains us. www.theOec.org
