We are proud to be a sponsor of The Available Light Theatre’s presentation of THE HERERO OF NAMIBIA, FORMERLY KNOWN AS SOUTH WEST AFRICA, FROM THE GERMAN SUDWESTAFRIKA, BETWEEN THE YEARS 1884-1915

By Lucy Sibblies Drury and directed by Matt Slaybaugh

Time Out New York calls it “Schoolhouse Rock for the genocidally aware.” In a play that reads like a grim parody of AVLT’s best works, an ensemble of American actors come together to make a play about the little-known, first genocide of the 20th century. As comedy turns to sudden tragedy, the characters confront the ways we communicate about race across ethnic boundaries in the 21st century.

The production runs at the Riffe Center’s Studio Two March 27th through the 30th (Sunday is a 2PM matinee), and then April 4th, 5th, and 10th-12th.
