William B. Umstead State Park represents a great portion of the soul of our community. Its forests, trails, and facilities offer a unique sanctuary to our residents, especially with increasing population density.
The Umstead Coalition is the official friends group that supports our Park. With your assistance we can provide: protection efforts that others cannot, ranger program support, restoration and return to use of our historic structures, trail maintenance, innovative stormwater treatment, additional outreach programs, and other Park service. The 1.6 million annual Park visitors deserve to have safe access to their Park.
NOW, more than ever, we need funds to continue to serve and protect our great heritage and the remaining quiet forest sanctuary sections of William B. Umstead State Park.
