FAR IS THE WORD! Ms. Kathy Prosser an individual artist from Australia who now makes S. Carolina her home with her family has brought to our shores a musical that teaches young people about the issues impacting our global ocean health as they are in TROUBLE and need OUR help. Her MUSICAL THEATRE SCIENCE OUTREACH A STEAM PROGRAM SOMETHING VERY FISHY w has been seen by over 4,000 students. It was cancelled lastyear owing to the pandemic but continues on this year. This play joins the arts and sciences together to address those issues and inspire them to become part of the solution. This musical is about protecting marine/threatened species and working together to accomplish it. In these times of the pandemic, Ms.Prosser is working to develop an alternative online arts component to the program- the next generation virtual choir video featuring elementary students singing the final song from the on stage production “Together We are Stronger by Far”.
