THERE IS A CHATTERBIRD IN THE ENVIRONMENT

CHATTERBIRD a Nashville-based chamber music ensemble will collaborate with Leila Abu to perform an opera with a local youth choir of middle school students, with an interactive art component.  Ms. Adu’s new work will explore themes of environmentalism, as seen through multiple lenses; her own cultural background born of New Zealand and Ghanaian decent, that of the Buddhist faith, and the perspective of our own nation’s indigenous people.    will host youth-oriented social activism workshops  focusing on environmental issues leading up to this premier in Nashville, Tennessee in October. www.chatterbird.org
