THEY WILL KEEP MARCHING…

One of PFW’s favorite annual events is the Columbus Children’s Parade that is sponsored by Central Community House, where at their house, PEOPLE ARE CENTRAL. In conjunction with the Hot Times Festival in the near east side of Columbus, Central Community House has gathered local youth to celebrate their lives and spread their message to the community. The major theme for the parade is PEASE IN OUR WORLD. IN 2018, once again the children will gather at the Kwanza Playground to make signs and banners. They will then walk through the neighborhood spreading joy, peace and positivity. The parade ends at Hot Times where the children will be served a healthy lunch. Puffin Wes’s grant secures the Parade Permit, the Police Escort, the Healthy Lunch and Craft Supplies. The goal of the Children’s Peace Parade is to encourage youth to have pride in their community, feel safer in their neighborhood and bring neighbors together.
